The High Crusade, published over forty years ago and rarely out of print since, is science fiction grand master Poul Anderson’s story about how some aliens try to invade the Earth-and then kind of wish they hadn’t. The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Milan is a pretty cool show! Cesar goes into people’s homes and helps them establish a good Alpha role within the life of their dog. He is truly amazing with his training techniques, and can help you, the viewer, gain similar effects with a rowdy pet. The Dog Whisperer airs Friday night at 8 pm.
I was a little bemused having just fine-tuned this fun event. Yet at the same time, I was in a place of sweet surrender, and openness to new possibilities.
Liu Xing (played by Liu Ye) is a humble but brilliant Chinese student. He comes to Valley State University and finds the transition into American life a little bumpy. But Liu has the help of a wealthy university patron, Joanna Silver (played by Meryl Streep). She immediately takes a liking to him. Then Liu joins a group of Cosmology news students, studies all about the universe and its relationship with dark matter, and makes a breakthrough with some unexpected side effects. This sounds like it could be either a smart sci-fi thriller or a drama that’s trying to be something it’s not. After all my research, all I can say is I’m interested. We probably won’t know anything more until April 11th.
This question is addressing one of the most difficult questions for Christianity to answer. God is supposed to love us, yet he also allows terrible thing to happen to us.
” You, your joys and your sorrows, your memories and ambitions, your sense of personal identity and free will, are in fact more than the behavior of a vast assembly of nerve cells,” said Francis Crick of DNA fame. No more? But our deepest intuitions go beyond our bodies. We feel we matter. We look for purpose in our lives. We love soul-deep. We dream of afterlife- even people who have been told that they don’t have a spirit.
I was looking up and saw one moving item in the sky after being outside for no more than 20 seconds and I assumed it was an airplane so I looked away to find something else interesting to look at… I look back to the airplane moments later and then the main light which looks like a halogen airplane light blink off with no afterglow. Remaining is a green strobe light on the object, then within one minute after it staying in place it just shoots up into the sky and is gone within 2 seconds. I was looking NW from my back porch to see this object.
